I'm so excited by the scale and shape of this vase - it's one out of a series of three vases I made this year, all three united by their flared rims and bellied forms. This particular vase has my sea foam glaze poured over it, and in characteristic style for this glaze it's incredibly varied and variegated throughout: at times speckled and murky in a mossy kind of way, and at other times much paler, breaking like waves over the rim.
Thrown from gently-flecked basalt-rich stoneware clay in three sections and joined together, before being glazed and fired to 1260 degrees.

Large Bellied Vase with Flared Rim
These pieces are dishwasher safe - although hand-washing with warm soapy water will prolong the lifespan of the glaze.
