The second in my set of three bellied vases I made this year - and potentially my favourite of all three - this form has a wider belly and slightly thicker and therefore more opaque glaze, breaking churny-white to taupe to sea blue on the rim. Satisfying semi-matte to the touch, it's glazed on the inside and out (meaning it's fully waterproof) and would make a rather lovely flower vase.
Stamped with my maker's mark on the foot.
Stoneware clay, thrown in three sections and attached together before being glazed and high-fired to 1260 degrees.
