Thrown from Oxidising St Thomas clay before being covered in a glaze I've settled on calling Moss: a colour-change of my normal Olive glaze due to a pouring application rather than a dipping application, this tall jug is perfect for a bunch of wildflowers, a whole pint of milk, or whatever else your heart desires. 'Throwing lines' from my fingers can faintly be seen through the thinner parts of glaze, traversing the horizonal body of the jug. A super special one-off that shows the flexibility and diversity of a single glaze.

The bottom of the jug is simply turned, and stamped with my maker's mark.

With a traditional 'pulled' handle, and a tiny little spout, it'd make a lovely housewarming or birthday gift.

Dimensions

20cm x 6cm at rim (roughly!)

*please be aware this is a hand-thrown piece, and as such, small differences between images and jug are to be expected.

  • Although *theoretically* dishwasher safe, to prolong the lifespan of this jug, I'd suggest hand-washing with warm soapy water. If any staining occurs, due to - say - contact with grubby flowers, the stain can be removed using bicarbonate of soda and warm water.
